Who says there's nothing new under the sun? Though theories differ as to when these stunning, enigmatic designs first graced fields of crops on Earth, we're relatively certain that this is the first "crop circle" beer to be sold since the age of the Druids. How can we legitimately call it Crop Circle Beer? Well, this English/American style amber ale's defining ingredient is barley harvested from several of England's most famous plots of land: East Field, South Field, Mik Hill and Tawsmead Downs in Alton Barnes, Wiltshire County, UK. Since the early 1990s, show-stopping crop circles have appeared in these fields every year. Is there something special about barley (and beer) from fields that the "circlemakers" (whoever and wherever they are) use as their canvas year after year to create their magical art? We think so, and we think that after tasting this bewitching brew, you'll agree! |
