The Caduceus is an ancient archetypal symbol of inner healing and self-transformation which speaks of musical initiation
into Soul awareness. The root meaning of the word caduceus may be traced back to the Sanskrit "karuh", meaning singer or poet. This points to the fact that the activating of the caduceus - making it a living symbol in one's consciousness and life processes, is essentially a musical and poetic process. Poetic because it requires the cultivation of mental sensitivity to the finer energies of the mental and intuitional planes, as well as the ability to allow the expression of this sensitivity in the form of language. Musical because it is through intentional inner singing that the energies of the self are caduceically brought into harmony and spiraled upward in a refining process which eventually results in the completion of the link in consciousness between the outer or lower self and the
inner spiritual or Higher Self. It is the depiction of the balanced and
rhythmic awakening of the light, wisdom and power of the Soul.
